Talented teachers

It’s exciting to see so much enthusiasm and ground-breaking work happening in preparation for the Kidz Connect project! The talent assembled to teach is some of the best in the area, from dance to music to theater to videostreaming instruction. We will be so fortunate to have the Kidz Connect program’s creator, Josephine Dorado, on site for much of the program, along with her co-director, Dan Winckler.

Hi…my name is Kelli Ferris. I am finishing my junior year of high school at the Mississippi School of Arts in Brookhaven, Mississippi this week. I was born in Tampa in 1990 and have lived in MS, my Mom’s homestate since I was in the first grade. I am 18 and was wondering if I would be a candidate for the summer course, if I could shadow someone, etc., etc. The camp I was to attend in Jackson, MS filled before I could get registered. What do you think? It might be a great learning opportunity for me this summer if you need someone to help, or if I could participate in the camp. Just trying to find a place to learn this summer! I’m sure I could stay with friends in Tampa. Let me know what you think, and thank you for your consideration.

    Thanks,
    Kelli Perrin Ferris

  2. Hi, Kelli! Thanks for your interest in the camp! It’s actually for 13-17 yr olds but we can look into internship possibilities for you especially since it seems you have a background in theater arts. Our program manager, Sheri, will be getting back in touch with you. :-)
